Our market has grown into one of the most loved in the Western Cape, nominated in the KFM Best of the Cape Awards for four consecutive years. With around 90 stalls, there’s something for everyone.

The Camphill market is held on the first Sunday of every month (except January) from 10am to 3pm.

Coming to the market

  • When is the market?
    The Camphill market is held on the first Sunday of every month, except January, from 10am to 3pm. The date of the next one is at the top of this page.
  • Is there a market in January?
    No. January is the one month we skip. The first market of the year is on the first Sunday in February.
  • Where is the market held?
    On our farm at 103 Klein Dassenberg Road, Klein Dassenberg 7349, Western Cape. Directions from Cape Town and a map are at the bottom of this page.
  • What will I find there?
    Around 90 stalls: delicious food, crafts, thrift clothing and children's activities, our own dairy, bakery and farm produce, handmade cosmetics, cakes and fresh bread, and a braai, a beer garden and live music under the trees.
  • Is there anything for children?
    Yes. There are children's activities and play areas, and tractor rides are a gentle way to explore the farm and meet the animals. On warm days visitors are welcome to cool off in our swimming pool, with parental supervision.
  • Can I buy Camphill's own products at the market?
    Yes. Our own dairy, bakery, farm produce and Camphill Naturals cosmetics are all sold on the day, alongside the vintage shop and residents running their own stalls of art, crafts and second-hand books. The market is also where you can collect a cosmetics order.
  • What is the KFM award the market keeps being nominated for?
    The KFM Best of the Cape Awards. Our country market has been nominated for Best Market for four consecutive years, from 2023 to 2026, and in 2026 it was named one of the Top 5 Best Markets in Cape Town.

Directions to Camphill

From Cape Town take the N1 towards Paarl. Turn off onto the N7 in the direction of Malmesbury and travel 35km, passing the Philadelphia junction. At exit 50, signposted "Kalbaskraal, Chatsworth, Atlantis", take the slip road left off the N7. At the stop turn left onto Klein Dassenberg Road and drive another 4.5km. We are clearly signposted on our white wall entrance on the left.
