Our Annual Dinner Dance : A Night of Glamour, Giving and Fun! - James Sleigh

What a wonderful night! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, supported us, and helped make last Saturday’s Annual Dinner Dance Fundraiser such a memorable occasion.

Set beside a beautiful lake, Eensgezind Function Venue provided the perfect backdrop, and the weather played its part in creating a truly magical evening.

Guests arrived to the lively rhythms of our drumming group, followed by champagne and delicious canapés on the deck overlooking the lake. The evening got off to an emotional start when Bart’s beautiful rendition of You Raise Me Up sent goosebumps through the room and set the tone for a night filled with warmth, generosity and celebration.

The excitement continued with a successful auction, professionally conducted by Robin Mills of Robin Mills Auctioneers, before the 250 guests enjoyed a delicious dinner and an evening of dancing. Our DJ kept the dance floor full, punctuated only by the lucky draws and, of course, dessert!

But beneath the glamour, the music and the laughter lay a purpose close to our hearts: The evening marked the launch of our Camphill Thrive Fund, an initiative created to help each of our 100 residents explore their hopes, pursue their dreams and discover new possibilities.

Everyone has dreams. Sometimes, all it takes is the right opportunity, a little encouragement, and someone willing to help open doors to experiences, personal growth, and opportunities that might otherwise remain out of reach. If you would like to be part of this journey, please contact Janine at fundraiser@camphill.org.za.

For those of you who missed the dance, we will set next year’s date early. Make sure you book your seat so that you don’t miss out.

Celebrating Togetherness, Creating Possibilities - Janine Strumpher

Celebrating Togetherness, Creating Possibilities. Fundraising is about so much more than raising money. It is about bringing people together, building relationships, and creating opportunities for every person at Camphill to live a life filled with dignity, purpose, belonging, and joy.

Our Dinner Dance is a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with open hearts and a shared purpose. Every ticket purchased, donation made, and act of generosity helps us continue providing a home, meaningful work, care, and opportunities for the residents who call Camphill West Coast home.

As we look ahead, our Camphill Thrive Fund will help us focus on the residents who have little or no family or financial support, ensuring that they, too, can enjoy the experiences and opportunities that make life meaningful. Because thriving means more than having our basic needs met — it means having the freedom to grow, to make choices, to develop our talents, and to feel valued and included.

To everyone who supports our work, whether through a donation, sponsorship, attending an event, visiting our market, or simply sharing our story, thank you for being part of our Camphill family. Your generosity makes a real and lasting difference.

Together, we are not simply sustaining a community; we are creating possibilities, nurturing hope, and helping every individual flourish.

If you would like to be part of this journey, we invite you to contribute to the Thrive Fund using the QR code below, or contact Janine at fundraiser@camphill.org.za.

Please include your full name, email address, or contact number as the payment reference so we can acknowledge your contribution and thank you for helping our residents thrive.

Our Summer Market This Sunday : 1st November ☀️- Lisa Knoop and Annett Mostert

November Market date

What a day! Our October Market was blessed with beautiful weather, and summer certainly showed her colours! The farm was looking gorgeous, the sun was shining, and the atmosphere was filled with happy faces, laughter, and that special Camphill magic. We were absolutely blown away by the incredible support and the wonderful energy everyone brought to the day.

Farm Fun for Everyone!

There was something for everyone to enjoy, from pony rides, jumping castles, and tractor rides to relaxing in the beer garden with live music filling the air. Families wandered through the beautiful stalls, discovered unique handmade treasures and supported our
wonderful local traders. It was a day filled with fun, connection and plenty of reasons to smile!

Delicious Food and Farm Goodies!

Where do we even begin with the food? From delicious meals and freshly baked goodies to our wonderful selection of farm products, homemade treats, and delicious condiments, there was so much to tempt the taste buds. The Deli was buzzing, the stalls were looking beautiful, and everywhere we looked, people were enjoying the flavours and special finds that make our market so unique. We love seeing visitors discovering something new to take home!

And of course, no market visit is complete without a good cup of coffee! Visitors can enjoy Camphill’s own blend of freshly roasted coffee, expertly brewed by our very own baristas, or take home a bag of beans to enjoy. But there’s more brewing at Camphill! Keep an eye out for our exciting new Camphill Coffee Cosmetics range — a whole new kind of pick-me-up!

Only Two Markets Left This Year!

It’s hard to believe that we have only two markets left for the year! A huge thank you to everyone who visited, shopped, ate, listened to the music, and spent their Sunday with us. Your support means so much to our traders, our residents and the entire Camphill community. If you haven’t visited us yet, there’s still time! Come and enjoy a beautiful day on the farm, discover local treasures, enjoy delicious food, and soak up the atmosphere at our next market. We can’t wait to welcome you back!

Lots of Love
